Exams over

Gosh. No one can (or should) ever understand what I just went through.

I've been traumatised for months before it. And for days after it.(Its only day 2)

I HATE EXAMS. But tt's like saying I hate life, cos this phase of my life revolves around exams. TEE, UMAT, DRIVING!!!!

Talking about driving, I'm hoping to sit the test next mth. Hopefully, all goes well then I'll be able to drive to school in the thick of winter. Winter just started yesterday. Its quite 'thin' now, but still cold enough for me to turn on the heater in the study. Winter also means that the sun sets way earlier. Its 5.30 now and it looks like 7.30 in S'pore. Days seems shorter = pass faster = get into med sch earlier = graduate earlier = start working earlier = get married earlier ......(Extrapolation is very dangerous as trend cannot be guaranteed)

School's great!

School just started this week. Its been a fantastic week! Met lotsa plp, didn't do lotsa stuff, and played plenty!

Year 12 seems LOADS cooler than Yr 11. For one, we do not have to wear the screwed up gray skirt! We get to wear chambray shirts and cream or blue pants! (I chose cream cos blue made me look like a naval officer, yucks!)

The timetable this yr has also been alot kinder to me =) I start school at 8.25am from Mon-Wed, and at 9.25am on Thurs-Fri. On wednesdays, school finishes at 1pm!!!

Powerless Police

Decided to report the break in today. Why did I not report the moment I discovered it? COS THE DAMNED POLICE POST WAS CLOSED!!!

Calming down...

Ok. The system here is wierd. In my 16 odd years of inhabiting this planet, I have NEVER, EVER heard of a police post being closed at 6pm on a weekday. Even wierder, the post is NOT open on weekends!

I walked into the neighbourhood police post at noon today, keeping my fingers crossed that they might be able to catch the culprits. I later realised I was being extremely over-optimistic. *Grim look*

The police post looked more like a little shop, complete with 3 candy machines. The walls were plastered with posters of race cars! Even funnier, the policeman(I'm not even sure if he was one) taking our statements was NOT in uniform! He was wearing a Hawaiian shirt, had no hair on his head, and a long beard that could rival Santa's.

He just asked us a few questions about the break-in, eg. When? What was missing? etc. which he did not write on any form or what, just recorded it in a big logbook. And at the end of it all, he kindly informed us that there was nothing he could do!

This place is so freaky! Largely cos its so deceptively pretty on the surface...Definately not a place to settle down. Despite being quite put off by the way Singapore's gov. runs the place, I'm now very appreciative of its security.

True. Singapore is indeed expensive. But who ever said security comes cheap?

Back to Perth

After a long 2 mth holiday, its back to perth for me!(also means no more char siew mee/hokkien mee/cheng teng)

We (Mom and I) arrived at 2.10pm, cleared customs n stuff by 3.20, and were chauffered home by the delightful Mr Queck(my ex PE teacher). We got a shock of our lives when we reached home.

No it wasn't ants. Or rats. It wasn't anything. It was the lack of things. It was ROBBERS! Our house had been broken into and the TV, DVD player, LCD moniter were gone! In addition, the study room and bedroom doors were wide open, there were glass shards in the living room from a broken window. and another room had been ransacked =(

Fortunately, the estimated total loss was below $1000. Phew. But, it means that I'm without TV, DVD, or LCD for a while until we get them replaced.

How unlucky!
